This collection was produced in a very different way to may past works. Instead of beginning with the materials either a gem stone or shaping metal as an inspiration, I closed my jeweller mind off and just drew shapes and ideas as I felt into each element. I have been fascinated by the elements, their totality of worth, the building matter from which all is created and wanted to get closer to them and my understanding relationship with them. The designs that came were very clear, and quick to form on my page, leaving me with something to just get on with and make, and I loved producing them.
